Context
Context, site and existing fabric captured in true 3D
Design decisions made against an inaccurate site model get expensive at exactly the wrong moment - during construction. A surveyed context model costs a fraction of a single change order and removes the assumption entirely.
For new build we deliver terrain, boundary, existing structures, tree positions and canopy extents as a single coordinated model. For refurbishment and adaptive reuse we capture the existing fabric in enough detail that measured drawings can be generated from the model rather than from a site visit with a tape.
Heritage work is where the technique is most persuasive. We record ornate, fragile or inaccessible fabric at sub-millimetre detail without a single fixing into the building, and the archive remains a permanent record long after the project completes.
What clients bring us
- Site context models built from guesswork and street photos
- Existing buildings with no reliable measured drawings
- Heritage fabric that cannot be touched or scaffolded
- Visual impact studies challenged for lacking real geometry
What we do about it
- Textured 3D site context models delivered in Revit, SketchUp and glTF formats
- Millimetre-detail facade and roof capture without scaffolding or rope access
- Measured drawings generated from a validated point cloud
- Shadow, view-corridor and visual impact studies grounded in surveyed terrain
